Barista/Cafe Attendant

Do you have a Can Do attitude and team minded approach? Are you passionate about great coffee and tasty food, have cafe experience, enjoy fast paced service and dealing with people?

We are seeking positive, friendly and efficient staff, to work within our Café Team for in Niseko, Japan. You MUST have exceptional service/barista skills with a passion for coffee, cooking and cafe culture. 

You will be responsible for serving all types of customers from this busy little coffee and snack business, ensuring great standards are upheld and working within a tight knit team.

REPORTING TO – The Cafe Manager


  • Providing exceptional service to all guests and customers
  • Ability to make consistent, exceptional coffee
  • Assisting in food preparation/cooking
  • Preparing and serving various beverages and food items
  • Maintaining high levels of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
  • Accurate sales recording and careful cash handling
  • Assisting in maintaining inventory, stock and requisitions
  • Showing good initiative with eye for detail


  • Previous cafe/barista experience 
  • Barista trained and a passion for coffee
  • Operating and handling fully manual espresso machines
  • Cooking/food preparation experience is an advantage
  • Cash register (POS system) and cash handling experience

  • International applicants MUST have or be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa 


  • English is a MUST
  • Japanese language ability very beneficial 


  • 1,100 -1,200 JPY per hour (based on experience & language skill)
  • Grand Hirafu season lift pass

Short Term- Late November 2018 - Mid February 2019

Full Season - Late November 2018 - April 2019


Average of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (approx. 40 hours per week)
