We are seeking friendly, charming, efficient and smiley English and bilingual speaking staff (preferred, but not essential) to work within our Guest Services Team in Niseko. You must have exceptional customer service skills with passion for dealing with people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checking transfer requests and arrival/departure details and ensuring all pre-arrival details are seamless
  • Provide personalized recommendations and information about local attractions and entertainment options
  • Arrange reservations for transportation, and events as requested by guests
  • Coordinate special requests such as room upgrades, special amenities, or celebrations
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner, striving for guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the hotel's services, facilities, and policies to assist guests effectively
  • Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless guest experiences, including communicating guest preferences and special requests
  • Stay updated on local events, festivals, and activities to provide up-to-date information to guests
  • Maintain a neat and organized concierge desk and work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/ TRAINING

  • Personal customer service experience (Face to Face)
  • Travel/tourism experience
  • Reservations experience
  • Previous Front Desk/Guest Services/Concierge experience
  • Previous driving experience
  • Ski or snowboard experience

LANGUAGE

  • Native level English is essential
  • Japanese/ Chinese/ English bilingual applicants are preferred, but not essential.

ADVANTAGES FOR THIS POSITION

  • International Driving Permit or Japanese driver's license holder

VISA

  • Working Holiday Visa required for this position.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

  • 1500 yen / hour (8 hours/day 5 days/week)

EMPLOYMENT DATES

  • 25th November 2024 – 31st March 2025 (Full Season)

As with any seasonal work, hours and dates of work are snow and customer dependent. Please understand that you are required to be flexible with work dates and hours.

Start date and end date can be discussed at interview. We can be flexible.

WORKING HOURS:

Full time, 5 days per week

You will be contracted to work an average of 35-40 hours per week throughout the winter, though this will be higher in peak season (late-Dec to mid-Feb) and lower during quiet times.
